What the register guarantees
- Every entry is an assessed credential — theory, practical or portfolio per designation
- Good standing = membership current, ethics clean, CPD points met (AML mandatory for dealer-facing grades)
- Register status is the credential: post-nominals live only while the entry is live
- Delisting is enforced — a register that cannot delist is a brochure
Why this exists
Singapore's jewellery trade moves high-value goods on specialised knowledge, with no certification layer for the people who sell, make, grade and appraise them — until now. The world's great gemmological guilds have run public registers for a century; the Guild brings the institution home. For employers, the register is a hiring check. For the public, it is the difference between a claim and a credential.
